The Elastic Parashoot Waste Band
Hailing from the southern-most regions of Antarctica, The Elastic Parashoot Waste Band, forever united by their sense of discovery, began their life's journey as a pack of explorers. In the year 1923, they became separated from the rest of their expedition after boarding a renegade ice floe. Unwilling to resort to cannibalism, the six were frozen alive, doomed to float in suspended animation for all time ... or so you would think. Many years later they were discovered by Dr. Shhh during one of his annual ocean voyages. After nursing them back to consciousness, the good doctor led the group's rehabilitation, discovering that by expressing themselves musically the band of adventurers was able to overcome their traumatic experience. Having already conquered, to some extent, both time and space during their hibernation, these six survivors were perfectly suited to be among the first members officially inducted into The Movement. Since then they have discovered within the organization's tenants the foundations of a more purposeful existence, as well as inspiration for their unique brand of songwriting.
